In T'Hutch Ltd., founded in 1999, grew from a beloved, departed Colleague, Bill Voglesong, who established PSI Associates in 1992. Bill was instrumental in establishing the need for color reference materials, as Certified Reference Materials, to measure the performance of color measurement instruments. Verification between factory calibrations, to compare instruments' performances, or merely to obtain a detailed characterization of the instrument's spectral response was Bill's mission. Bill's company established the T-Ref® and Lab-Ref® for Graphic Communications Association (now IDEAlliance) in the 90's. The In T'Hutch Laboratory near Rochester, NY, provides NIST-Traceable certification of a number of recognized Certified Reference Materials, including T-Ref®, Lab-Ref®, for IDEAlliance/IPA, and many custom reference materials for its many global customers. Its new CRM, the Voglesong Coloref, is described in succeeding pages.
